Race Description
The Carolina Ugly Sweater Run is set to take place on December 8, 2024, with registration currently open for participants. The event will include a 5K race and a 1K Elf Run, designed to be festive and family-friendly, welcoming walkers and pets. Participants are encouraged to come early for photo opportunities with characters like Santa and the Grinch, and to enjoy special giveaways such as a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A sandwich.
Starting and finishing at Jetton Village in Cornelius, NC, the event will begin at 2:30 PM for the 5K and at 3:30 PM for the Kid's 1K Elf Run, which is recommended for children aged 10 and under. Participants will have the chance to purchase an Ugly Sweater t-shirt and compete for prizes for the best costumes. This year's run also aims to raise funds for local youth sports initiatives, solidifying its role as a significant community event.
