Race Description
The Captain Bill Gallagher Island 10 Mile Run is scheduled to take place on August 2, 2025, in Sea Isle City, New Jersey. The race features a ten-mile course that predominantly runs on the beach, with approximately two and a half miles on a blacktop macadam boardwalk. Registration is currently open, with an online early bird fee of $30 and a race week fee of $40 for participants.
In addition to the main race, awards will be presented to top finishers in various categories, and participants are encouraged to support the For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation, which provides transformative experiences for cancer patients and their families. The event promises chip timing, refreshments at the finish line, and ample drinking stations along the route, aiming to foster a community spirit and competitive atmosphere.
