Race Description
The Amelia Island Runners is set to kick off the new running year with the inaugural Cannon Ball Run on January 4, 2025. This exciting event will take place on the scenic Amelia Island, featuring a sunrise start at Main Beach Park in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Participants can enjoy both a fun flat 5k and a half marathon course that showcases the natural beauty and historic charm of the island.
The Cannon Ball Run not only marks the return of winter running events hosted by Amelia Island Runners, Inc., but also offers a festive atmosphere complete with post-race celebrations. Runners can look forward to awards, refreshments, and the opportunity to experience the picturesque routes through Ft. Clinch State Park.
