Race Description
The Candy Cane Dash 5K/1K is set to take place on December 7, 2024, in Frederick, Maryland, offering participants a unique opportunity to engage in a festive race while supporting a charitable cause. Held annually on the first Saturday of December, this event benefits Girls on the Run of Mid and Western Maryland, and participants are encouraged to embrace the holiday spirit, whether by competing seriously or donning creative costumes.
The event features both a 1K Fun Run/Roll starting at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K race at 9:00 AM. Race day activities will be located adjacent to the Talley Rec Center, and participants registering on-site are advised to prepare for electronic registration, as cash payments will not be accepted.
