Race Description
The Brooklyn PTA Fun Run for Schools is set to take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Prospect Park. This annual event, organized by Council Member Shahana Hanif alongside Brooklyn’s public school PTAs, invites participants of all ages to join a 3.3-mile fun run, walk, or stroll, with bib pickup starting at 9 AM and the race commencing at 10 AM.
As a community-focused event, the Fun Run aims to support local public schools, with net proceeds from registration fees going towards the neediest schools. Participants are encouraged to register as school teams and are welcomed regardless of their physical abilities, including runners, walkers, strollers, and wheelchair users. For those unable to attend, donations are also accepted to further support the local education community.
