Race Description
The second annual Britta's Chase 5K in the Wild took place at San Antonio's award-winning Zoo, sponsored by Goya Cares. This unique race, benefiting the nonprofit Meant to Soar, included serious cash prizes for competitive runners, along with special medals for various age categories. The event featured a flat and fast course alongside the zoo's animals, offering participants a memorable experience.
In addition to the main race, the event introduced a 'Fun Kids Dash' for children aged 5 and under, allowing young participants to enjoy a safe and supportive environment. All finishers received a Meant to Soar high-flying kite, further promoting the organization's mission to support children affected by adversity. Participants also had the chance to win cash prizes for outstanding performances, making the 5K both a competitive and fun event for all involved.
