Race Description
The Bizz Johnson Marathon, taking place from October 12 to 13, 2024, in Susanville, CA, is known for its fast downhill course suitable for setting personal records and qualifying for the Boston Marathon. The race begins at Mason Station and winds through the picturesque Lassen National Forest, featuring a significant descent over its 26.2 miles.
The event includes two half-marathon races, a standard half-marathon and an Express Half Marathon, which runs the second half of the full marathon route. New for 2024 is the Express Half Marathon Relay, allowing participants to team up and tackle the route in stages. The certified course promises stunning views with multiple river crossings and historic rail tunnel experiences for all participants.
