Race Description
The annual Hilo to Volcano 50K Run/Walk/Relay is scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2025. This challenging ultra marathon, also available as a team relay, covers approximately 31 miles with an elevation gain of about 4000 feet, making it a notable accomplishment for participants.
The event starts from the underground parking lot of the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel and concludes at the Cooper Center in Volcano. Participants, whether solo or in relay teams, are advised to bring their own hydration and nutrition, as there are no aid stations along the route. Prizes will be awarded in various categories, enhancing the competitive spirit of the race.
