Race Description
The Bernard Greene Memorial 5K is set to take place on October 12, 2024, at Deep Run Park in Henrico, VA. The race will begin at 9:30 am, and registration is currently open at a cost of $35 per participant. All proceeds from the event will go towards supporting alumni and current participants of the Henrico County Recovery Court, facilitating sober activities and family events.
This annual race honors the legacy of Bernard L. Greene, Jr., who was a dedicated member of the Henrico County Drug Treatment Court team. Mr. Greene, who passed away in 2019, was known for his commitment to helping others and avoiding substance addiction challenges. The event promises more than just a race; participants can expect a bounce house, raffles, music, and other activities designed to promote community engagement and support for those in recovery.
