Race Description
The Ben Campbell Memorial 5K event, scheduled for September 8, 2024, aims to honor the legacy of Benjamin Cole Campbell, whose inspiring journey despite personal hardships touched many lives. This inaugural event promises to be a significant fundraising occasion for the Ben Campbell Memorial Fund, which will support students and families in need, keeping Ben's memory alive through charitable efforts.
Participants will gather at Newark High School, Ben's alma mater, to run or walk along a scenic course through the city of Newark. A vibrant after-party at Deerpark Tavern will follow the race, featuring raffles and various fundraising opportunities. All members of the community are invited to join the celebration of Ben's life and support his legacy.
