Race Description
The Bee the Light 5K, organized by The Shelby Foundation for Kindness Delivered, is set to take place on October 19, 2024, at Southeastway Park in New Palestine, Indiana. This exciting annual event will provide an excellent opportunity for runners and walkers to enjoy the cool fall weather while supporting a meaningful cause. The paved trail route highlights the family-friendly environment of the park, which features bike trails, playgrounds, shelters, and wooded areas.
In memory of Shelby Kraft, who passed away in early 2022, all registration proceeds from the race will be donated to the International Rett Syndrome Foundation. Rett Syndrome is a severe neurologic disorder affecting primarily girls and women. Participants will receive a race T-shirt, bib, medal, swag bag, and photos, with awards given to the top male and female finishers. Registration is currently open for interested participants looking to take part in this inspiring event.
