Race Description
The first-annual Battle of the Badges Half Marathon & 5K is set to take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Waco Fire Station 1 in Waco, Texas. This family-friendly event will feature a friendly competition between the Waco Fire and Police Departments, allowing participants to show their support for their chosen team. The race begins at 8:00 AM, and all proceeds will benefit both the Waco Professional Firefighters - IAFF 478 and The Waco Police Association.
Participants in the half marathon will receive a long sleeve dri-fit shirt, while those running in the 5K will be given a short sleeve cotton shirt. Additionally, those taking part in the 1-mile fun run can forgo a shirt but have the option to purchase one during registration. The event aims to foster community spirit and support local services through a spirited day of fitness and fun.
