Race Description
The 5th Bald Unyielding Twilight Trail Trial is set to take place on February 22, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM at the Bald Hill Prairie Preserve in Mount Morris, Illinois. This unique ultra running event features timed races of 12 hours, 6 hours, and 3 hours, allowing runners to compete throughout the night, with a brief briefing for participants scheduled for 5:45 PM.
Hosted by the Rockford Road Runners, Inc., the event offers an opportunity for runners to test their night and cold weather gear, with prizes awarded to the top finishers in each category. Participants are encouraged to prepare for a variety of conditions and are reminded to bring essential gear such as headlamps and proper clothing, as the limited parking space means carpooling may be necessary for attendees. Registration is currently open for this anticipated annual event.
