Race Description
The Back The Blue 5K is set to return on September 28, 2024, starting at the Factory Street Brewing Company in South Boston, VA. The event, which honors the lives of Trooper Chad Dermyer and Trooper Lucas Dowell, will begin with check-in from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM, followed by the race start at 9:00 AM.
Participants can register for the race online for a fee of $35. The event, established in 2016 to commemorate fallen officers, also supports the Dermeyer Dowell Scholarship Fund, benefiting Virginia high school seniors who are children of law enforcement officers. This year's race promises to uphold the tradition of honoring those who serve and protect our communities.
