Race Description
The 8th Annual Road Home Race is set to take place on September 21, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. This charitable event, organized to support homeless veterans through Passageways, features a 1-mile fun run, a 5K, and, for the first time, a 10K race. All events will start and finish at the Plum building inside Sedgwick County Park, which is USATF-certified.
The race day will commence with registration at 7 AM, followed by a Presentation of Colors and the Singing of the National Anthem at 7:45 AM. The 1-mile fun run kicks off at 8 AM, with the 5K and 10K starting shortly thereafter at 8:30 AM. Participants and spectators can look forward to a patriotic atmosphere, complete with flags lining the race route.
