Race Description
The 5th Annual Mangum Marathon & Half Marathon is set to kick off in 2025, featuring both a full marathon and a half marathon for participants. This year, a Port-A-John will be available for runners, and safety measures are emphasized, including a 7-hour time limit for the marathon and a 5-hour limit for the half marathon, ensuring all runners have ample time to complete the course.
The marathon course will start at the Dog Pen near Ellerbe, NC, and offers a scenic yet challenging route that includes a famous climb known as Heartbreak Hill. All participants will receive a long-sleeve PREMIUM technical shirt and finisher medals. Awards will also be given to the top finishers, with additional age category incentives if registrations exceed 50.
