Race Description
The Rotary Club of Morganton is set to host its First Annual Zombie Run 5K and One Mile Family Fun Run on October 12, 2024, at Catawba Meadows Park in Morganton. The event kicks off with participant check-in at 8:30 AM, followed by the Family Fun Run at 10:30 AM and the 5K Zombie Run at 11:00 AM. After the enthusiastic races, participants and spectators can enjoy an After Party featuring food and music in a festive atmosphere.
This unique event invites participants to engage in a themed 5K run while dodging 'zombies' along the route. Runners must preserve flags attached to them as zombies attempt to snatch them away, adding an element of excitement and challenge. For those who prefer a less intensive experience, the Family Fun Run offers a fun, non-zombie alternative for all ages. Proceeds from the event will benefit local community organizations supported by the Rotary Club of Morganton.
