Race Description
The 4th Annual CPT George A Wood 5k Run and Walk is set to take place on November 10, 2024, in Marcy, NY. This event honors the memory of US Army CPT George A Wood, who tragically lost his life in Iraq in November 2003. Participants will enjoy a scenic course along the Lock 20 pedestrian pathway, known for its natural beauty.
Organized by the George A Wood Foundation, the run will feature music and refreshments for participants, in addition to a commemorative shirt. Proceeds from the event are slated to support educational initiatives and the Central New York Veterans' Community. Registration for the race is currently open, and organizers are looking forward to a successful turnout to pay tribute to CPT George A Wood.
