Race Description
The 32nd Annual Dr. John A. Stephenson Memorial Youth Run is set to take place on October 12, 2024, at Riverside Park in Lynchburg, Virginia. This beloved event, presented by the Lynchburg Road Runners, honors the legacy of Dr. John A. Stephenson, a founding pediatrician who promoted child health and outdoor activity before his untimely passing.
This year's races will feature various distances tailored for youth aged 3 to 13, including 1/8 mile for the youngest participants and a 1 mile run for older children. All proceeds from the event support the Lynchburg Road Runners Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing community health through running. T-shirts and commemorative awards will be provided, with registration now open.
