Race Description
The 28th Annual Smith McMillan 5K will take place on October 26, 2024, in Wilmington, Delaware, to kick-off Homecoming Weekend at the Wilmington Friends School. This event honors the memory of siblings Jonathan Bacon Smith ’83 and Wendy Smith McMillan ’77 and supports a financial aid endowment in their names. Registration for this USATF sanctioned event is currently open, allowing participants to secure their spots early for the race.
The race features a "Kids Dash" for children starting at 8:10 AM, with the main event beginning shortly thereafter at 8:30 AM. Participants will receive a long sleeve T-shirt if pre-registered. Awards will be given to top finishers in various categories, including overall male and female winners and age group categories ranging from 8 and under to 80 and above.
