Race Description
The 27th Annual Firecracker 5k Run/Walk is set to take place on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, starting at 8:00 A.M. in McLeansboro, IL. This exciting event also features a half-mile Kid's Fun Run commencing shortly after the 5k race. Participants can look forward to a flat, fast course with both running and walking options available, benefitting the Hamilton County Cross Country Team.
Registration for the 5k is now open, with varying fees depending on when you sign up. Early birds can register for $25 if postmarked by June 20th, while those who register on the day of the race will see the fee rise to $30.
