Race Description
The North Texas Masters Swimming organization is set to host the third annual 'Swim de Mayo' on May 18, 2025. Originally scheduled for last year, the event was canceled due to severe weather conditions. Excitement is building as this open water swimming competition reemerges in the DFW area, included as a stop on the 2025 USMS South Central Zone Open Water Grand Prix challenge.
Participants can choose from three different swim distances catered to various skill levels, including a 1.25K swim dubbed 'The Pequeña', a 2.5K swim known as 'The Media', and a 5K swim referred to as 'The Grande'. The event will take place at Lake Ridge Parkway in Grand Prairie, TX, and aims to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for all swimmers involved.
