Race Description
The 2025 Louisiana Watermelon Festival 5k is set to take place on July 26, 2025, in Farmerville, Louisiana. This exciting event combines competition and local culture, featuring a challenging course that begins with a downhill stretch and includes a notable incline known as 'Watermelon Mountain.' Proceeds this year will be donated to Willpower Foundation, Inc., aiding efforts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Participants can expect a festive atmosphere, highlighted by slices of locally grown Louisiana Watermelon available for finishers. Registration is currently open, with online registration closing on July 25, 2025. The race will commence at 7:30 AM at the Farmerville First Baptist Church, with various age group awards to recognize top runners. Race day registration is priced at $40, and participants are advised that roller blades and skates are prohibited on the course.
