Race Description
The 2025 Blacksburg Classic 10 Miler & 5K is set to take place on February 22, 2025, at the Margaret Beeks Elementary School in Blacksburg, Virginia. This year marks the 40th edition of the event, which is part of the RunAbout Sports 2025 Race Series. Participants will enjoy a scenic course that begins in the Miller Southside Neighborhood and runs briefly on the popular Huckleberry Trail, all while working towards their fitness goals for the upcoming year.
Racers can choose between two distances: the challenging 10-mile race and the shorter 5K event, both starting at 9 AM. The event also features a free 1-mile fun run at 8:30 AM, catering to families and casual runners. Registration is currently open with early bird pricing available until January 1, 2025. Finishers of the 10-mile race will receive a medal, and long sleeve shirts will be awarded to participants who register before February 9. The awards will be given to the top finishers in various categories based on their performance.
