Race Description
The 2024 Golden Helix 5k is set to take place on October 12, 2024, at the Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN. This annual open-road race covers a distance of 5 kilometers around the scenic campus, promoting a vibrant community atmosphere. Participants are encouraged to register before September 21, 2024, to ensure they receive a guaranteed t-shirt on race day.
Organized by the Student Affiliates of the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, the race aims to support various student clubs and the Tennessee Technological University Foundation Chemistry Scholarships. This year's event allows current TN Tech students to race for free, with a special coupon code available at registration. The race will help fund important local initiatives, including the Upper Cumberland Remote Area Medical Clinic.
