Race Description
The 2024 Black Dog Road Race, taking place at Hubbard Park in Meriden, CT, invites runners to celebrate Halloween weekend with a 5K, 10K, and Kids Fun Run. Known for its scenic route, the race backdrop includes the picturesque Merimere Reservoir, making it a perfect setting for both competitive runners and families.
Participants in the 10K face one of the most challenging terrains in Connecticut, featuring over 750 feet of elevation gain within the first half of the course. Meanwhile, the Kids Fun Run provides a free opportunity for young runners to engage in a shorter distance. Registration is currently open, and all proceeds benefit local community programs, ensuring a festive and meaningful celebration for all.
