Race Description
The 1st Annual Downers Grove, IL Ostomy 5k Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, October 5, 2024, coinciding with Ostomy Awareness Day. This event, which includes a 50-yard Kids Run, aims to foster community engagement and raise funds for the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA). Occurring at the Byram Healthcare building, this race will promote awareness and support for individuals living with ostomies.
Participants are encouraged to register early before September 6th to take advantage of discounted rates. To ensure a safe environment, the event is capped at 100 participants for this year. With a looped course mapping a one-mile route, attendees can look forward to awards for all finishers and various refreshment options during the post-race celebration.
