Race Description
The 12th Annual Pat and Toach Purcell Memorial Scholarship 5K/1 Mile Walk is set to take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 9 AM. The event will be held along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail at Olive Street in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Registration is currently open, with fees ranging from $25 for pre-registrants to $30 for those registering between September 28 and race day.
Participants can look forward to official chip timing, along with long sleeve T-shirts for pre-registered runners. The event is not only a race but also a scholarship opportunity for local athletes, with awards for top finishers in various categories. This year, awards include medals for the top male and female finishers, along with recognition for the top three overall walkers.
