Race Description
The 1000 Strong Overcoming Obstacles 5K/10K is set to take place on April 12, 2025, at Patriot Park in Victoria, Texas. Hosted by Restoration House Ministries, this unique trail race features permanent structures, pop-up challenges, and mud pits, designed to not only provide participants with an intense workout but also motivate them to surmount personal challenges. The event aims to support young men and women facing trauma, abuse, and addiction, while also aiding local homelessness initiatives.
Participants can expect a fun-filled event day with electronic timing, live race results, various vendors, and food trucks. Early packet pick-up will allow racers to avoid long lines on race day. The race includes a variety of competitions including standard 5K and 10K races, as well as obstacle courses for all ages. Racers are encouraged to gather their teams, as they must finish together to qualify for awards. All proceeds from this event will benefit Restoration House Ministries, further impacting the local community positively.
